Objectives: Learners who successfully complete this course will: Understand the essential elements of computer hardware and software. Operate common computer applications. Demonstrate good work habits in the use and care of the computer and related equipment. Outline Training Plan: The specific learning outcomes are grouped into 4 Units: Unit 1 - Computer Operation and Use Unit 2 - Introduction to Software package A (Word Processing) Unit 3 - Introduction to Software package B Unit 4 - Introduction to Software package C Software B & C must consist of 2 applications selected from the following: Database, Spreadsheet, Powerpoint, Email, Internet. Training Duration: 20 - 30 hours (depending on Learner's prior knowledge/existing skills). Course Fee: €400 per participant (discounted to €360 FAS/CE Participants). Assesment: Candidates present a portfolio of coursework which shows that they have achieved all of the Specific learning Outcomes. Trainee Profile: No previous qualifications are required.
