Good weather. Wasted on a scrappy garden. We see it every year around Warwickshire. Homeowners finally step outside in June and realise the patio they’ve been putting off has gone from “needs attention” to “needs replacing.” That’s where we come in.

Old flagstone versus modern porcelain

A lot of customers near the Tachbrook Road end of town come to us wanting that traditional York-stone character, and fair enough, it ages beautifully. But it moves, it stains, and it drinks water like a sponge. Modern vitrified porcelain (and I’ll admit I was a sceptic myself early on) is a completely different animal. Tighter joints, near-zero porosity, and it stays put. Both have their place. We’ll tell you honestly which suits your ground conditions and budget.

Grip and safety matter

We’ve specified flame-textured granite anti-slip finish on several jobs where steps or sloped ground were involved. It looks well and performs properly in wet weather, which around here is most of the year if we’re honest.
