What we do

From a straightforward repair to a full roofline overhaul, guttering is the trade I’ve built everything around. Working out of Rathmines, we cover south Dublin broadly, taking on jobs from Terenure down through Rathgar and as far as the catchment around Scoil Bhríde in Ranelagh.

The work itself

Over the years, the range has grown considerably. Here’s a fair picture of what we handle day to day:

• New gutter installation and full replacements in uPVC, aluminium seamless, and cast iron
• Half-round, ogee, and square-line profiles fitted and aligned correctly
• Downpipe repair, hopper heads, and connection to existing soakaways and gullies
• Soffit and fascia replacement, including uPVC boarding
• Leaf guards and gutter mesh for properties surrounded by mature trees
• Rainwater diverters and water butt connections

Timber fascia softwood rot remediation is something we come across constantly on older Dublin semis. Left unchecked, the fixing substrate fails, it takes the whole gutter run with it. We deal with that before any new boarding goes on.

How we work

Proper fall is something a lot of contractors overlook. A gutter bracket re-spaced at 600mm centres with a consistent 1-in-600 gradient sounds technical, it keeps water moving rather than sitting. That’s the difference between a five-year fix and a permanent one.

We work mostly with uPVC for new installs, however cast iron restoration remains a regular part of what we do on Victorian and Edwardian properties across the area.

• A deposit of 30% is required to confirm booking
• Balance due on completion of work
• We accept cash, bank transfer, and card payment
