Stepaside Guttering
Stepaside Guttering
Roofline and rainwater work in South Dublin
Stepaside and the villages around it get a fair share of wet weather rolling in off the Dublin Mountains. We know these roads well, from Leopardstown right out past the Carrickmines Luas stop, and we see the same problems on rooflines up and down the area every single week.
What we take care of
When a job comes in, it usually involves one or more of the following:
- New uPVC and aluminium seamless gutter runs
- Half-round, ogee and square-line profiles fitted or replaced
- Downpipe repair, hopper heads and connections to existing gullies
- Soffit and fascia board replacement in uPVC
- Leaf guards and rainwater diverter fittings
Why do soffit, fascia and gutters together
When your fascia boards are rotten, the gutters come down anyway. At that point, fitting an ogee fascia capping board overlay over sound timber, or replacing boards fully where they have failed, makes sense in the same visit. You avoid a second call-out charge, the finish is neater, and the whole roofline gets proper fall and fixings checked at once. That saves real money over doing it piecemeal.
Cast iron and older properties
Older homes around Stepaside often have cast iron guttering that has served well but is now pulling away from the fascia or leaking at joints. We restore and reseal where we can. However, when the metal has corroded beyond a clean repair, we replace it and match the profile as closely as the property deserves.
